Jackson JS22 Dinky Arch Top — Metal-Ready Superstrat at an Entry Price

The Jackson JS22 Dinky Arch Top Satin Black AH delivers classic Jackson metal tone and looks at an entry-level price. This Superstrat is built around a poplar body with an arched top, finished in stealth satin black for stage-friendly glare reduction. The JS22 DKA is the right choice for players who want a fast, hard-rocking electric guitar with humbucker punch and a smooth tremolo — without paying flagship money. Inside the body, a one-piece bolt-on maple speed neck with graphite reinforcement keeps the playing surface stable under heavy use. Twenty-four jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays mark out a fingerboard purpose-built for high-register runs.

Standout Features — Speed Neck and Compound Radius

What sets this model apart in the budget Superstrat segment is its one-piece bolt-on maple speed neck with graphite reinforcement and a scarf joint — a construction detail usually reserved for more expensive instruments. The compound-radius amaranth fingerboard (12"-16") flattens toward the upper frets, giving lead players freedom to bend and shred without choking notes.

Body & Construction — Poplar with Arched Top

The poplar body with arched top keeps the JS22 DKA light and resonant, while the satin black finish reduces glare on stage. Black hardware throughout — including the 2-point fulcrum tremolo, sealed die-cast tuners, and dome-style knobs — gives a stealth, all-black appearance.

• Body Material: Poplar — lightweight tonewood that keeps the guitar comfortable for extended playing sessions
• Top: Arched — adds visual depth and a subtle contour against the body
• Finish: Satin Black — stage-friendly sheen

Neck & Playability — Speed Neck with Compound Radius

The maple speed neck features a graphite-reinforced bolt-on construction with a scarf joint, increasing string tension behind the nut for better tuning stability. A 12"-16" compound fingerboard radius (305-406 mm) and 24 jumbo frets give players a flat, fast surface for lead playing.

• Neck Material: Maple — bright, articulate response with a stable feel under the hand
• Fingerboard Material: Amaranth — smooth, dense surface that holds up to aggressive playing
• Scale Length: 648 mm — standard for tight, focused low-end response

Electronics & Hardware — Humbuckers and Fulcrum Tremolo

A pair of Jackson high-output humbucking pickups with ceramic magnets drives the signal path, voiced for thick, sustained tone under heavy distortion. The 3-position blade switch, single volume, and single tone control keep the layout simple. The 2-point fulcrum tremolo bridge allows expressive dive-bombing and subtle vibrato.

• Pickup Configuration: HH — dual humbuckers deliver thick, noise-free output for high-gain tones
• Bridge: 2-Point Fulcrum Tremolo — smooth action for dive-bombs and subtle vibrato
• Tuning Machines: Jackson Sealed Die-Cast — reliable tuning stability for everyday playing

Who Is It For — Metal and Hard Rock Players on a Budget

The Jackson JS22 Dinky Arch Top is the right choice for beginning and intermediate metal, hard rock, and shred players who need a stage-ready instrument with humbucker tone and a fast neck. It's a strong fit for guitarists who want the Jackson look — pointed 6-in-line headstock, sharkfin inlays, all-black hardware — without paying for a USA-made model.
