Fender American Professional Jazzmaster RW Oxblood — Classic Offset, Modern Playability

The Fender American Professional Jazzmaster RW Oxblood draws from more than sixty years of Jazzmaster innovation and evolution to meet the demands of today's working player. An alder body in Oxblood with a 3-ply black pickguard and aged white "witch hat" knobs pairs with a Deep "C" maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. Two new V-Mod III Jazzmaster single-coil pickups deliver the sparkle and chime the model is known for, and at the flip of a slide switch the rhythm circuit puts both pickups in series for a thicker tone with increased output. A Deluxe Molded hardshell case is included.

What Makes This Jazzmaster Different

The bridge pickup has a tap function on a push/push tone control, giving both a powerful, throaty sound and a lower-output vintage sound. The Panorama tremolo with pop-in arm puts the full range of expressive vibrato at your fingertips — from classic Jazzmaster warble to deep, Strat-style dives — while the ClassicGear J-Bridge keeps every note locked in with superior intonation, stability and tone. ClassicGear Precision potentiometers round out the controls with smooth, consistent response.

Body Construction and Finish — Built for Resonance and Stage Presence

The alder body is the tonal foundation of this Jazzmaster, delivering a balanced character with clear note definition. The polyurethane finish protects the wood, and the Oxblood colorway is set off by a 3-ply black pickguard, aged white pickup covers and nickel/chrome hardware.

• Body Material: Alder — balanced tonal foundation with clear note definition
• Finish: Polyurethane — durable, stage-ready protection
• Pickguard: 3-ply black — classic contrast against the Oxblood finish

Neck and Fingerboard — Deep "C" Profile With a 241 mm Radius

The maple neck features the popular Deep "C" profile with smooth rolled fingerboard edges, a "Super-Natural" satin urethane finish on the back and a newly sculpted neck heel for easy access to the upper register. The rosewood fingerboard with a 241 mm (9.5") radius, white dot inlays and 22 narrow-tall frets makes bending easy, and the bone nut measures 42.8 mm. At 648 mm, the scale length gives the guitar its characteristic snap and string tension.

• Neck Material: Maple, Deep "C" profile — full, comfortable shape for chords and lead lines
• Fingerboard Material: Rosewood — warm tonal character with white dot inlays
• Radius sits at 241 mm (9.5") with 22 narrow-tall frets for easier bending
• Scale length of 648 mm (25.5") delivers bright, articulate string response

Electronics and Hardware — V-Mod III Pickups and Panorama Tremolo

Two V-Mod III Jazzmaster single-coil pickups are selected with a 3-position toggle: bridge, bridge and neck, or neck. With the slide switch down, the lead circuit uses master volume and master tone; with it up, the rhythm circuit runs both pickups in series with independent thumbwheel volume and tone controls. The Panorama Jazzmaster tremolo with pop-in arm works with the ClassicGear J-Bridge, while Fender Standard Cast/Sealed staggered tuners and a 4-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt adjustment complete the hardware.

• Pickups: SS — two V-Mod III single-coil Jazzmaster pickups — articulate tone with sparkle and chime
• Bridge: Panorama Jazzmaster tremolo with pop-in arm and ClassicGear J-Bridge — wide vibrato range with stable intonation
• Special Electronics: Push/push on tone control taps the bridge pickup — vintage tone on demand
• Strings: Fender USA 250L Nickel Plated Steel (.009–.042) — light gauge for easy bending

Who Should Play This Jazzmaster

This Jazzmaster is the right choice for alt-rock, indie, surf and atmospheric players who want the classic offset feel with modern playability. Rhythm players will appreciate the Deep "C" neck and 241 mm radius for comfortable chord work, while lead players can move between clean chime and thicker, higher-output tones through the V-Mod III pickups, the bridge-pickup tap and the series rhythm circuit. Gigging musicians benefit from the included Deluxe Molded hardshell case.
