D'Addario NYL040W Samostojna struna za kitaro

Single Classical Guitar String for Replacement or Custom Sets

The D'Addario NYL040W is a single .040" classical guitar string built around a silver-plated copper winding over a nylon core. Designed as a replacement string for Pro-Arté silver-plated sets or for players building custom gauge combinations, it slots into any standard classical guitar setup. The round-wound construction delivers the warm, projecting tone that D'Addario's silver-plated bass strings are known for. As an uncoated string, it preserves the natural feel and response of traditional classical guitar strings. All D'Addario strings are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA at the company's New York production facility.

Who It's For

The NYL040W is the right choice for classical guitarists who need a single replacement bass string or want to assemble a custom gauge set. It works well for players who break a single string and want an exact-match replacement without buying a full set, as well as luthiers and experienced players building non-standard string combinations for multi-string guitars or alternate tunings. Commonly chosen as a G string on classical bass guitars with longer scale lengths, this .040" gauge also fits multi-string instruments and custom tuning setups. Silver-plated copper winding produces a warm, projecting bass response that blends naturally with D'Addario Pro-Arté treble strings. Sold as an individual replacement string, it suits beginners replacing a broken string as well as seasoned players maintaining a working collection of spares.
